MASCO and its member partners, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Harvard Medical School, launched OUTSIDE programming for the first time beginning the week of May 20th, 2019.

OUTSIDE is an area-wide member placemaking program meant to create and enhance outdoor spaces where employees, patients, visitors, researchers and students can benefit from free and accessible programming.

The 2019 season’s programming included twice weekly free outdoor yoga classes, live music, petting animals, chess simuls and talks from authors and local experts. Ping pong tables, board games, book and news carts, along with local research inspired art were available throughout the Longwood Medical Area. OUTSIDE completed its inaugural year as of September 27th, 2019 but is already planning for the spring of 2020.

We are looking for feedback for the 2019 season’s programs and things you would like to see for 2020; please let us know your thoughts by filling out our OUTSIDE Survey!
