Take heart - it's all worth it!
We know commuters are frustrated with all the construction around the area and the less than ideal state of our streets for travel.
MASCO has been working with the City of Boston Transportation Department and the Department of Public Works this summer to pave and restripe Ave. Louis Pasteur, half of Longwood Ave. (the second half will be done soon), and parts of Francis Street and Fenwood Rd.
When the city repaves, utilities rush in to get their work done in advance, which is one of the reasons commuters see so many trenches and missing lines and arrows. Brookline Avenue is currently under construction by the Boston Water and Sewer Commission which will patch and repave at the end of their work this fall with a permanent repaving likely in 2019.
