The New England Patriots can soon call the world renown Dana-Farber Cancer Institute "neighbor."
On Thursday Dana-Farber Cancer Institute announced plans to to develop an outpatient hospital satellite at Patriot Place in Foxborough.
The institute said in a press release that the move to the suburbs of Boston will further the Institute's commitment to deliver local care to cancer patients.
The satellite site will provide adult medical oncology and hematology services and is expected to open in the spring of 2020. When fully operational, approximately 40 new employment opportunities will be created to care for patients and operate the facility.
