Eating Healthy in the Cold Winter Months

Brrrr. It's cold. It's dreary. Let's go grab some hot cocoa with extra whipped cream.

Or not.

It's super easy to get diverted from our fitness and healthy eating goals when it's cold and you just want some comfort food. Mac 'n Cheese anyone?

Our neighbors at Brigham and Women's Hospital have a very informative health blog that outlines simple ways you can control your eating and optimize food choices for your healthiest winter.

Some tips:

  • Plan your plate. Take time each week to plan meals and shop.
  • Keep a food journal. Recording what you eat helps you control caloric intake.
  • Reaching for food and you're not really hungry? Take a hike!

These tips and more are available on BWH's Health Hub Blog here.
