Bike Week is May 13th through May 21st
Register for the MassCommute Bicycle Challenge!
The MassCommute Bicycle Challenge is a week-long, FREE, and friendly competition taking place during Bay State Bike Week (May 13th – 21st) with a new theme this year: “Be Outspoken.”
To participate, all you need to do is sign up, ride, and log your trips! Whether you bike for fun or to get to work, log your miles to be entered in daily raffles and competitions.
Here in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area, we're having a friendly competition between hospitals, businesses, and colleges, so be sure to sign up with your work email to carry your workplace to glory!

Here in the Longwood Medical Area, MASCO CommuteWorks has planned a week's worth of free food, events, and tune-ups to encourage new riders and raise awareness about bicycle transportation.

Tuesday, May 16: CommuteWorks Bike Breakfast
7:30 to 9:30 AM, MASCO Courtyard, 375 Longwood Avenue

Join the Harvard Longwood Cyclists and MASCO CommuteWorks for breakfast and learn how to get involved in the Longwood cycling community!

Friday, May 19: CyclingSavvy: The Truth & Techniques of Traffic Cycling

Join fellow cyclists to learn tips and tricks to make your ride safe and enjoyable. The topic is, "The Truth & Techniques of Traffic Cycling". Through guided discussion with video and animation, this session familiarizes students with traffic dynamics, problem-solving strategies and bicycle-specific laws.

Saturday, May 20: CyclingSavvy: Train Your Bike

This session covers bicycle handling skills in a closed course with progressive drills designed to increase your control and comfort handling your bike. This session is open whether or not you have taken the classroom session.
Saturday, May 20: CyclingSavvy: Tour of Boston (Experiential Ride)
1:00pm to 4:30pm, 76 Jimmy Fund Way
You need to take Parts 1 & 2 before you take Part 3. This ride will go at a moderate pace and we will leave no - one behind!
