MBTA Green D Line Temporary Shutdowns, June 6-14 and 6/20-28; Commuter Alternatives

The MBTA has announced that two additional construction shutdowns on the Green D Line are planned in the month of June which will affect several weekends and weekdays on Saturday, June 6 through Sunday, June 14 and again from Saturday, June 20 through Sunday, June 28.   Please see the this link for more information:  https://www.mbta.com/projects/green-line-d-track-and-signal-replacement and for local bus replacement service along the D Line on these and other already scheduled shutdown dates.  In addition the MBTA will offer 20 minute weekday peak hour 7- 9 AM and 4-6:30 PM express service via the Turnpike, stopping at Riverside and Woodland Stations and expressing to Copley Square station at Dartmouth Street. Connecting service to and from Copley to the LMA will continue to be available via the Green E Line, or Rt. 39 bus service along Huntington Ave.; or, by the D, B, and C subway lines to/from Kenmore Station with connecting bus service via Routes 8, 19, 60, and 65 services out of Kenmore.  Weekend bus service runs approximately 8-13 minutes, depending upon the time of day.
