Customer Survey Response

ServiCenter Garage

This graph represents the ServiCenter Garage results of the2008 Customer Service Survey.

Stairwell Cleanliness:  We have become more conscious of the conditions in the stairwell during the day and have added patrols to clear any trash.  Thank you for your feedback.

Improved Signage / Confused Visitors:  The ServiCenter garage has a lot of first-time patrons, who tend to take more time adjusting to their unfamiliar surroundings.  We will also look for ways to improve signage at this location.

Right exit lane for transients:  In response to your requests, we have changed our operations so that the right exit lane is always available for daily parkers (sometimes both lanes).  This makes it easier for monthly parkers to exit in the left lane.

Expedite Exit For Card Holder:  We are aware of the fact that the high volume of daily parkers at this facility sometimes causes additional delays for monthly cardholders.  We will continue to maximize staffing and exit-lane configuration to minimize these delays.

Why are the parking spaces so narrow? The parking spaces in this garage are narrower than you may be accustomed to, but not atypical for a facility that is located in such a dense development area.  While this can make parking your car more challenging, it does allow us to make more spaces available to employees, patients, and visitors.  Widening each space just six inches would reduce the number of available spaces significantly.  The current spacing format represents our best attempt to balance convenience and efficiency.

Why is parking so expensive?  The cost of parking on-site in the LMA is set at market rates by the institutions in an effort to encourage employees to use transit options (if available) or park off-site so that there will be ample room for patient and visitor parking.  The off-site rates charged to institutions are based on the cost of providing parking and shuttle services.  Even at the rates charged, the institutions and MASCO end up subsidizing the cost to some extent.  Daytime rates are set to encourage short-term use by patients and visitors.  Please call MASCO’s CommuteWorks at 617-632-2796 if you would like more information about commuting options.
