Customer Survey Response
Chestnut Hill
Lot/Shuttle

This graph represents the M6/Chestnut Hill results of the2008
Customer Service Survey.
Noisy buses,
Fumes, Poor Suspension, Inadequate AC/Heat:
The current M6 vans are at the end of their contractual life
cycle. The excessive noise and poor quality of the ride is also
due to the poor road condition of route 9. Route 9 is in the
process of being repaved, and a full fleet of new vehicles will
be put into service on this route in August 2008. Both of these
things will serve to improve the quality of this service.
Overcrowded
shuttles due to non-parkers:
MASCO member institutions want to do all that they can to reduce
congestion in the LMA, and this includes allowing employees to
use the shuttle system even if they are not parking at Chestnut
Hill. We will continue to monitor capacity on this route, and
add additional service, as warranted.
Friendly
drivers:
Although each driver should always act with courtesy, we really
appreciate you taking the time to express your gratitude to some
of the best drivers on the M6 shuttle. Beyond this, to
recognize our good drivers, we have implemented a driver
appreciation program every trimester to congratulate them for a
job well done.
Attendants
need to be more visible:
The attendant at this location is required to cover both lots,
so he cannot be in both places at the same time. We will,
however, continue to make sure that the attendant moves
regularly from one lot to the other, and does not remain
sequestered in the booth. Please continue to contact us at
617-632-2800 if you notice problems, or any type of suspicious
activity.
M6 Midday
service:
For emergency mid-day transportation to the
Chestnut Hill lot, please call (617) 632-2800 to request a cab
voucher. The Partners Shuttle to 850 Boylston Street also
goes to Chestnut Hill Lots. For trip time information,
please visit their transportation website at this address:
http://www.partners.org/ourhosp/shuttleschedule/850%20atrium%20scheule.htm
Poor
Driving:
Poor driving is of particular concern and is aggressively
addressed. Any concerns or observations you have in this
regard should be immediately reported to us by calling (617)
632-2800 with the route, location, date, time, name/description
of the driver, and bus number (if possible so that we have the
information we need to take corrective action.
Eliminate
850 Boylston Street Stop:
As mentioned above, MASCO member Institutions want to do all
they can to reduce congestion in the LMA, and in this instance,
such efforts include allowing commuters as well as employees
working at 850 Boylston to access this shuttle. To
minimize overcrowding, we will also continue to coordinate with
Partners Transportation to facilitate multiple-institutional
ridership on their shuttle serving this location. |
