In 2010, the Colleges of the Fenway (COF) was one of 17 applicants nationwide to receive a grant from the Department of Education for more than $500,000 to bolster emergency planning. MASCO was on the team that developed and submitted the proposal and support documents that successfully secured the award.
MASCO was also part of the team that successfully applied for and received a 2005 grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to develop a Multi-Hazard, Multi-Institutional Hazard Mitigation Plan. The Colleges of the Fenway is the first educational institution in Massachusetts to have a FEMA approved plan.
