Company Profile: Since 1974, Aetna Fire Alarm has been servicing the life safety needs of businesses in the Boston area. The staff is fully licensed through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Board of State Examiners of Electricians, and the City of Boston, Inspectional Services Department, Fire Prevention/Fire Protection Systems/Devices, and the International Municipal Signal Association.

  • Service lines include: all quarterly testing and inspection (100% annually), maintenance and repair of the member’s fire alarm system using protocols specified by the local municipality, Boston Fire Department 93-1 regulations and NFPA 72 guidelines, and any and all current life safety codes and recommendations for testing and maintenance as provided by the manufacturers (including sensitivity testing as required) so that member’s system is in full compliance with all local and national requirements.
  • Response time for all services during regular working hours is 30 minutes. Response time for all services during overtime hours follows the Boston Fire Department regulations and is a two (2) hour maximum. (Aetna’s presence in the LMA allows for most response times to be less than 45 minutes).
  • All employees are in uniform and carry the appropriate badges and/or other documentation as required by member’s institution.
  • Account manager is available to meet at any time, and at a minimum quarterly, with members to review account specifics and identify opportunities for costs savings.
