Area planning staff members serve as advocates for the LMA. We work with city, state and federal officials for improvements that help the area as a whole. For example, we helped secure state and federal funding for the Muddy River Restoration. The project will daylight the river in the Sears rotary area, dredge the channel and restore and re-landscape the corridor. These improvements will reduce flooding impacts in the LMA.
