Attention all
South Shore and Southeastern Commuters. This is a great commuting
option for you! You can save over $500 a month on commuting
expenses! |

The Old Colony Line is a great
commuting alternative if you commute to the Longwood Medical and
Academic Area from an area southeast of Boston on the Plymouth/Kingston
or Middleborough/Lakeville MBTA Lines. The MBTA has added the Old Colony
Line service to the Plymouth/Kingston and Middleborough/Lakeville Lines
stopping at JFK/UMASS Station. The Old Colony Line from
Plymouth/Kingston (one hour and 30 minutes to the LMA) and from Middleborough/Lakeville
(one hour and 30 minutes to the LMA) will take you about the same amount of time as
driving in traffic to the LMA but you can save over $500 a month,
according to the AAA "Your Driving Costs", by taking the
commuter rail. For more information about the Old Colony Line, please

A great new
commuting option for MassPike drivers from Worcester/Framingham.
Save over $400 in commuting expenses a month. |
| |
All Aboard! Do you ride the
Framingham/Worcester Line into the Longwood Medical and Academic Area (LMA)?
The MBTA has opened a new commuter rail stop at Yawkey Station that will
make it incredibly easy for you to commute to the LMA. By stopping at Yawkey Station, instead of Back Bay
Station, you will save time and you can take a MASCO
shuttle to complete your journey
into the LMA. The Framingham/Worcester
Line will take you about the same amount of time as driving in traffic
to the LMA but if you travel from Worcester on the commuter rail, you
will save more than $500 a month, and if you are coming from Framingham on the
commuter rail, you will save about $400 a month (according to the AAA's
"Your Driving Costs"). To find out more about Yawkey Station
or the MASCO shuttle service, please connect to the link below.
